As a leader, the Premiertec Project Manager knows that success can prove all too elusive without a strong and coherent project team. Premiertec’s project manager establishes a winning team profile and then selects the right blend of players to fit that profile, even if they have to be engaged externally. Premiertec’s project manager then ensures that he brings out the best in each member of the team.
3 | Manage the Project to Minimise Risks
All IT projects have an element of risk inherent in them, however, it is the Project Managers’ responsibility to minimise and pre-empt them. They work together to continuously identify potential risks, analyse their impact, define containment measures and establish contingency plans. Any change in scope, approach, or design can pose a risk to the project and so every change requires a thorough assessment before it is incorporated into the plan. Unexpected risks would leave the team unprepared for any adverse impact to the overall schedule or the quality of the system.
2 | Define the Project Scope to Set Expectations
The Project Managers work together to define the scope of the work and the terms of engagement. The scope defines the project and keeps the team focused on its primary goals.
